The ramp-up to Dry July is in full swing, with a plethora of non-alcoholic drinks being released this month. Deviating from the usual formula, VIA’s range of ‘feel good’ drinks are functional, botanical-based beverages based on classic cocktails inspired by nature.

Sarah Morley and Kiersten Mason from Sydney’s Northern Beaches co-founded VIA Drinks as a way to promote wellbeing based on the belief that nature holds the key to extraordinary flavours.

“What sets VIA Drinks apart is the incorporation of VIAGENICS™ adaptogens into our beverages. These natural compounds – including Schisandra, L-Theanine, Guayusa, and Wattle Flower – are carefully selected for their beneficial properties and work to elevate the mood and stimulate the senses,” said Morely.

Industry market analysis from IWSR points to innovation as a key driver in the no and low alcohol sector, something Morely and Mason are keen to tap into with their unique beverage formulations, including vitamins and adaptogens.

The newcomers recently won a couple of awards in the functional drinks category at the World Alcohol-Free Awards, including a Bronze medal for their Sparking Brut and a commendation for their Sparking Aperitif.

“With the support of experts, industry professionals and skilled production partners, we’ve created a range we’re incredibly proud of which truly elevates the drinking experience.

“Many hours were spent researching and testing innovative potent plant extracts to create each formulation. Our beverages are meticulously crafted to combine the layered and sophisticated taste profiles of classic cocktails, inspired by nature,” said Morely.

The Australian-made single-serve RTDs are available in four flavours: Sparkling Seventy-Five, Sparkling Margarita, Sparkling Aperitif and Sparkling Brut. Bottle formats are planned for release in the coming months.
