The brand noted in a job ad: “We’re looking for a charismatic individual, who has a strong appreciation for tattoos, music, art, travel – and drinking our rum in all different shapes and sizes.
“We want you to throw the most epic parties Australia has ever seen and celebrate the fun side of life day in, day out. Having a laugh and making others laugh is mandatory in this role. You should be someone who likes to entertain, educate and inspire an audience. We’ll want you to wear a t-shirt or polo every day – no suits or formal wear please – this would result in a formal warning. We prefer the sleeveless look – the only sleeves accepted are tattoo sleeves.
“You should be loud, proud and confident in socialising. Ordering large rounds for people, including people you’ve never met, is welcomed.
“We prefer you spend little time in an ‘office-style’ environment and more time in a bar with bartenders and the Sailor Jerry community – including those new recruits who don’t yet know they’ll be a part of it yet – until you influence them to join. We want you out and about, visiting events, festivals, pubs, bars and clubs and exploring new ideas and experiences, mixing with a variety of people and situations along the way.”

Summer success for Sailor Jerry RTDs
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum introduced its first RTDs to Australia late last year, available in two distinct flavours – “Rum and Dry” and “Rum and Cola”.
The products mark the first RTD liquid innovation since the launch of the original Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum 19 years ago.
The RTDs were launched initially in Australia – pictured above is Global Brand Ambassador Gravy Thomas at the launch party – before rolling out across the globe.
Sailor Jerry’s Hannah Ellerkamp said: “Our bold and smooth as hell Sailor Jerry RTDs are now finally available in all good bottle shops and retailers across the country.
“From what we can hear and see from our consumers, especially across our social media channels, these RTDs have been received very positively and described by many as a ‘must try’. We definitely bought something into the market that many of our consumers were waiting for. A great success for Sailor Jerry.”
