The drinks industry is swinging into spring with a swag of refreshing new releases, including an easy drinking beer from Asahi and two RTDs from Bacardi-Martini Australia and William Grant & Sons.

Asahi Premium Beverages is launching its first easy drinking beer in Australia, called Two Suns Premium Dry.

Two Suns unique brewing collaboration between Japan’s Yosuke Tajika
and Australia’s Geoff Day introduces a premium, low bitterness and lower carb option to the easy drinking category. It’s made in Australia with 100% Australian malt and wheat, using precise Japanese brewing techniques.

Asahi Premium Beverage has invested more than $5million in its biggest ever NPD launch, rolling out this month.

Bombay Sapphire RTD

Bombay Sapphire has released a gin and tonic RTD into Australia’s booming gin market.

The RTD is best enjoyed chilled straight from the bottle or elevated a step further when poured over ice in a glass with a garnish of lemon or lime.

Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic Ready to Drink 4-pack retails for $26 and is now available at Dan Murphy’s, BWS and independent retailers.

Archie Rose Sydney Opera House

Speaking of gin … Archie Rose Distilling C. has collaborated with the Sydney Opera House to create a two-act gin release launching on October 1, 2019.

Named Outside Gin and Inside Gin this twin release will bring to life the timeless architectural splendour and natural surrounds of the Sydney Opera House, alongside the creative energy and artistic talent experienced on its stages.

The new gins will be showcased at the Sydney Opera House’s bars and restaurants with curated Outside and Inside Gin cocktails served at Opera Kitchen and Portside Sydney. The gins will also be stocked in the Opera House’s award-winning Bennelong Restaurant and nearby Circular Quay and city venues.

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum has introduced its first RTDs to Australia, available in two distinct flavours – “Rum and Dry” and “Rum and Cola”.

The products mark the first RTD liquid innovation since the launch of the original Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum 19 years ago. The RTDs will launch initially in Australia, before rolling out across the globe.

They’re available from mid-September with an RRP of $26 for a 4-pack and $58 for a 10-pack.

Penfolds Max's pinot noir

Penfolds has released its first Pinot Noir under the Max’s tier, further expanding the offering commemorating former Chief Winemaker, Max Schubert.

Penfolds 2018 Max’s Pinot Noir exudes enticing aromatics, with exotic fruits of the forest leaping from the glass. Raspberry, black cherry, olive tapenade and oolong tea are framed by a subtle char-toast character. Hints of sea spray and a distinct Campari note linger.

Penfolds 2018 Max’s Pinot Noir is at peak drinking now until 2021, RRP: $35.
