The Mighty Hunter located in the New South Wales’ Hunter Valley has been listed for sale. Formally known as Potters Tavern and Brewery, the venue lists having been refurbished and rebranded by Mighty Craft.

The refurbishment of the venue and the surge in regional tourism over the past 12 months meant that the venue welcomed in excess of 160,000 visitors this past year, say Mighty Craft.

The venue houses the Foghorn Brewery (‘Foghorn’) which will maintain rights of the brewing operation at the venue.

The sale is the result of a shift in Mighty Craft’s retail strategy and coincides with a significant push into key regional markets by hoteliers throughout the state.

JLL Hotels’ Sydney based team comprised of Ben McDonald, Kate MacDonald and Greg Jeloudev will be steering the Expressions of Interest Campaign which launches today and run until Wednesday, 10 November 2021.

JLL Hotels Vice President Kate MacDonald expects interest in the leasehold opportunity to be high given the venues proximity to Sydney, scale of the venue and trading upside for a more local management approach.

Ms MacDonald said, “We see incoming operators drawn to the venue due to the Hunter Valley location and untapped potential for functions and events, including weddings and corporate functions which have been unfortunately put on hold over the past 18 months.”
