Glenfiddich’s x Jordan Gogos immersive art pop up bar

Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, has announced an extended pop up bar activation in Sydney’s CBD from 17 April to 8 May.

The activation will see it collaborate with esteemed Sydney artist Jordan Gogos. The activation, hosted by art charity organisation ART AID at Dean & Nancy on 22 bar, will include events such as masterclasses, parties, and creative collaboration opportunities. 

A selection of Gogos’ art installations will be available for purchase, with 50% of all profits to be donated to charities affiliated with the ART AID non-profit. 

Throughout the activation, an exclusive Glenfiddich cocktail menu will be available at the Dean & Nancy bar, including the: 

  • Orchard Spritz: Glenfiddich 12, Amaro Nonino, Earl Grey, Lemongrass, Rose,Figs, Citrus;
  • Pressed Roses: Glenfiddich 12, Amontillado Sherry, Vanilla Honey, Pear & Cinnamon Soda;
  • ISG Brew: Glenfiddich 14, Mezcal, Ripe Banana Oleo, Coffee, Chocolate Bitters, Saline; and the
  • Midnight Lights: Glenfiddich 21, Suze, Mango, Ginger, Pink Peppercorn, Bitters.

National Wine Show of Australia announces public tasting event

The National Wine Show of Australia has announced a public tasting opportunity that will likely feature more than 5000 unique bottles. This includes more than 900 award winning wines. 

The National Wine Experience, hosted by the Royal National Capital Agricultural Society (RNCAS), presents an invaluable experience for avid wine consumers looking to access and learn from the entire range of wines entered into the National Wine Show. Only gold or silver medal winners from the 32 qualifying found Australia-wide are accepted into the prestigious National Wine Show of Australia.

“[This is] including the winners of the Len Evans Memorial White Wine of Show, the James Halliday Red Wine of Show and the ultimate prize, the 2024 Prime Minister’s Trophy,” said  Adelina La Vita, chief executive officer at RNCAS.

Only 250 tickets have been made available for the National Wine Experience 2024. 

“It’s an incredibly rare opportunity to experience the pinnacle of Australian winemaking. More than 5000 bottles of wine will be opened for tasting, offering an unparalleled journey through Australia’s diverse wine regions.”

The tasting event will also provide a preview into the National Wine Festival, which will be launched next year to coincide with the Wine Show’s 50th anniversary. 

“The festival will feature food and wine tastings, demonstrations, workshops and presentations, gourmet markets, culinary tours and behind-the-scenes experiences,” said La Vita.

“If you miss out on tickets to the National Wine Experience this year, there will be lots more to look forward to in 2025.”

Chivas Regal How We Rise cultural workshops

Following last Saturday’s successful Sydney Instalment, the second and final workshop of Chivas Regal’s How We Rise series will take place in Melbourne on April 20 featuring Serwah Attafuah, a feature artist, designer and musician. 

Serwah’s presentation will be centred around the topic of ‘How to turn your passion into a living’ and will provide attendees with invaluable insight into aspects such as having an authentic online presence, improving storytelling capabilities, utilising networks, and embracing partnerships and collaborations. 

“We’re super excited to welcome some of Australia’s most creative and successful minds, who will be sharing their experience and knowledge to the next wave of cultural entrepreneurs,” said Pernod Ricard Pacific’s Marketing Director for the Pacific, Kristy Rutherford.

The Melbourne event follows on fromGeedup Co’s Sydney workshop on Saturday 13 April which discussed ‘How to turn a brand into a business.’
