The best of local drinks at Drink Victorian Tasting

Join over 250 Victorian drinks producers at the trade-only Drink Victorian Tasting event at the Medallion Club, Marvel Stadium, on Monday, 1 May.

Showcasing the best of beer, wine, cider, spirits and non alc in the state, the event is an opportunity to discover new drinks, catch up with familiar producers and participate in a series of workshops.

Along with a general tasting event, there will be a range of free workshops on a range of topics, including:

Interesting and delicious low and non-alc cocktails for bartenders
A how-to guide with Home Grown, Marionette and Maidenii.

The rise of Victorian wine producers
Taste your way around Victoria as Leanne Altmann brings together emerging winemakers from across the state to share their journey (and wines) through the ranks of the Victorian wine industry.

Building a better beer list
Learn how to build a balanced, venue-appropriate beer list while sampling half a dozen of Victoria’s best brews. Led by craft beer expert James Smith of The Crafty Pint alongside Moon Dog brand manager and Blackhearts & Sparrows beer buyer Cherry Murphy.

Producer and bar collaborations to improve your cocktails
Join Anther and Starward as they discuss the importance of collaborations with Melbourne’s bar industry, including cocktails creations from Joey Tai (Flower Drum). Hosted by Seb Costello.

Winemakers making cider
Learn how techniques and ideas from the wine world are leading to innovation and excitement in the cider world – and vice versa. Hosted by Max Allen.

Enjoy snacks from Lee Ho Fook and Melbourne institution 400 Gradi at the event exclusively open to Victoria’s hospitality industry, with exclusive offers for new wholesale orders placed in May.

These tastings are supported by the Victorian Drinks Alliance in collaboration with Food + Drink Victoria, Cider Australia, the Independent Brewers Association, Spirits Victoria and Wine Victoria.
