It’s been a dynamic and strong 12 months for Paramount – CEO Nathan Rowe with an update.

The last 12 months have seen Paramount go from strength to strength. Robust working relationships with our customers and suppliers have showcased that our ambition for growth is tied to our desire to innovate and propel our business into the future.

2024 promises to be an exciting year for Paramount in the off-premise space. Our retail banner, Sessions, has a string of exciting and attractive forthcoming benefits set for next year to compliment our existing offering. All Sessions operators have autonomy over their range, making each store unique from one another, so your local Sessions a true representation of its community. Sessions retailers also receive complimentary access to our custom POS system, a streamlined rebate program, empowering them to earn more, on what they want to sell. Perhaps most exciting of all, we will be launching a Sessions e-commerce store complete with delivery logistics soon, taking Sessions into the digital realm.

In addition to our existing Sessions banner, we have some exciting news on the horizon with a new offering to the retail landscape, so keep your eyes peeled!

In the on-premise, our expansion into Queensland is complete after acquiring the remaining 50% of Liquid Specialty Beverages, rebranded as Paramount Queensland. This is now 100% owned and operated by Paramount under the stewardship of Stewart Bensley in Brisbane and Damon Jackson in Cairns.

The integration of Queensland into our national head office has come with the rollout of a new national structure, with Matthew Jeffrey heading up our National Services Department, allowing myself to step into the position of CEO and appoint our new CFO Maria Walters.

As ever, technology drives Paramount forward. We continue to introduce new technology in our structures to build a more streamlined service. Over the last year we’ve implemented Salesforce nationally and across all of our departments. We’ve integrated Queensland into our national ERP system, rolled out our 3PL model across the country and built up our dedicated IT & Systems team of 8 to run all of our operations, projects and systems requests.

Our expanded marketing team has rolled out our Future Proof series across the country, with further events coming to cities across Australia in 2024. Future Proof allows people from all facets of the drinks industry to be at the coalface of innovation, with insightful, challenging questions, access to brand ambassadors and new products from leading global suppliers. Next year will also see the launch of Paramount’s off-premise focused event Re:Tail, an expansive and holistic event that will give attendees access to the people and tools that are redefining retail.

Looking forward, a new Paramount Liquor website is well under construction, not only giving our digital space a facelift, but ensuring we are constantly at the forefront of creating a practical and intuitive user experience for our customers and suppliers.

Our determination to continue to develop, expand and innovate in the wholesale space runs parallel with our ambition to grow our business. This year we ticked over $500 million in revenue, growing nearly 200% in the last two years alone. 5 years from now, we want to reach $1 billion. It’s serious ambition, and we’re serious about it. To set ourselves up, we’ve grown our head office resources by over 30% in the last year and now have over 500 staff nationally.

We feel our ambition is ratified and our resolve to push ourselves, and our industry, to greater heights is stronger than ever. At Paramount Liquor, there’s always more to come.
