There’s only one week to go until entries for the 2019/2020 BACARDÍ Legacy Australia Cocktail Competition close on September 10.

With a record number of entries to date at this point in the process, bartenders have only a few days left to finesse and submit their Legacy cocktail creation to make it through to the Top 30.

Now in its seventh year, BACARDÍ Legacy Cocktail Competition was established to challenge the best contemporary bartenders in the world to create their own cocktail Legacy – that will stand the test of time and ensure that both bartender and BACARDÍ are remembered like the illustrious classic cocktails of the past.

Drinks such as the Daiquiri and the Mojito are now revered as classic and are as much part of the unique legacy of Don Facundo Bacardi Masso as the rum itself.

This year’s entrants have an incredible opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Fred Siggins, Alissa Gabriel, Andrew Bennett, Dave Kerr, James Irvine and this year’s Australian Legacy title-holder, Jenna Hemsworth (pictured main).

With a great record of reaching the top 16 on the global stage, Australian finalists in the cocktail competition have proven their skills to the international bartending community. Their incredible performances have gained them not only personal notoriety, but recognition of Australia as a significant contributor in the development of the bartending profession worldwide.

The 2020 Global Finals will be held from May 1-7 in Miami, US – a city with a long-standing association with BACARDÍ rum.
