Blue Moon has launched its award-winning summer seasonal Summer Honey Wheat in Australia. Summer Honey Wheat remains a seasonal favourite among Americans with its subtle flavours of orange blossom honey and orange peel, and is expected to see similar success here.

Available in draught and 330ml packaged formats, Summer Honey Wheat is a filtered wheat ale with an ABV of 5.2%.

The beer is currently being sold in Vintage Cellars and select independent off premise retailers, and will be available from Dan Murphy’s beginning mid-February. As part of the Molson Coors International portfolio, Blue Moon is distributed by Coca-Cola Amatil in Australia. Trade should contact their representative at CCA for information on stock. Note: the recommended retail place for Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat will differ between accounts.

Summer Honey Wheat is the top performing seasonal craft beer in the US and was also the first summer seasonal launched by Blue Moon Brewing Co. back in 1995. It currently holds one of the highest seasonal sales volumes in the US. Originally called Honey Blonde Ale, it was a favourite of fans coming to the brewpub during the heat of the Colorado summer. In 2006, under the name Blue Moon Honeymoon, it won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in the Specialty Honey Lager or Ale category, winning gold in the same category the following year, under the name Honeymoon Summer Ale.
