Tasmania’s U.G.L.Y. Bartenders Get Innovative

Across Tasmania, there are over 70 registered U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year venues with all of them doing a great job raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Giving her all to raise funds is Emma Stevens from the Brick Factory in Salamanca. Emma says that the whole team has got behind the U.G.L.Y. cause as they have all felt the effects of blood cancer with the disease hitting close to home at the venue with the owner’s wife passing away the first week of the campaign.

Emma has really got into the U.G.L.Y. spirit by turning everyday food and drink into a fundraising opportunity. You can now get a blue coffee simply by donating to Emma and if that isn’t your thing, then why not try the ‘U.G.L.Y. Cup’? The guilt-free dessert is made up of blueberry jelly, chantilly cream, chocolate crumb sponge, berries, and mint and is the perfect treat as all profits are donated to the cause.

On top of this, Emma has organised a Melbourne Cup lunch and a Halloween party with lots of fun ways to donate at both events. The Brick Factory even held an AFL grand final party where $1 from every pint sold was donated.

To find out which venues in Tasmania are getting U.G.L.Y., check out the U.G.L.Y. website and throw your support behind Emma and the other U.G.L.Y. bartenders taking part across Tassie this year.
