Grant Burge Krink X Barossa Ink

Grant Burge Wines has unveiled a new limited edition version of its Barossa Ink Shiraz, made in partnership with esteemed New York City artist Craig Costello, founder of KRINK

The collaboration marks KRINK’s first ever partnership with a wine brand, adding to his extensive artistic career that spans more than 30 years and involves collaborating with renowned brands such as Tiffany & Co and Levi’s.

“The Grant Burge Wines brand ethos of ‘Leave Your Mark’ aligns seamlessly with KRINK and his artistic style,” said Amy Darvill, Marketing Director of Australia and New Zealand at Accolade Wines.

“We are thrilled to collaborate and introduce this disruptive limited-edition design.”

The bold graffiti styling is also a natural fit for Grant Burge’s Barossa Ink collection, which was introduced into the Accolade Wines family in 2017 to deliver the boldest, most vibrant and most impactful wines possible. Following the success of its existing portfolio, the Ink by Grant Burge range has experienced 52% volume growth over the past four years. Or, as Darvill puts it,

“Barossa Ink Shiraz has garnered a dedicated following.”

Reflecting on the collaboration, Costello said that “collaborating with Barossa Ink was a natural fit – we are both creatively developing formulas to make something special. It was great to incorporate my drip aesthetic with Barossa Ink’s existing branding to design something visually unique.”

Expect Grant Burge’s Krink X Barossa to display a bold and generous profile oozing with rich berry notes and hints of mocha. A Dan Murphy’s exclusive, the limited release wine is set to be publicly released nationwide in July and will remain available while stocks last.

“We anticipate that this limited edition pack will not only resonate with our loyal consumers but also attract a younger, creative audience to the brand,” said Darvill.

Dwayne Johnson’s Teremanna Tequila arrives to Australia next month

Teremana Tequila, the brand founded by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, will be available in Australia from July 2024 as part of its recently outlined global expansion plan in partnership with Spirits Platform and Mast-Jägermeister.

The plan will see Teremana introduce its Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo tequilas into all Australian states and territories as part of the brand’s global expansion. Australia, which is recognised as one of the world’s fastest growing tequila markets, will become Teremana’s third international market.

“I’m incredibly humbled by the demand for Teremana at the global level and thrilled to deliver Teremana to consumers around the world,” said Dwayne Johnson.

“Mana is at the heart of everything we do at Teremana, and this has fueled our purpose of sharing good energy, bringing people together, and doing things the right way. To now be able to Share the Mana with more parts of the world is a privilege – cheers, my friends.”

Teremana Tequila is made at its own Destileria Teremana de Agave distillery in Jalisco, in collaboration with third-generation agave growers and second-generation tequila makers, the Lopez family. It is made using 100% mature Blue Weber Agave that is roasted in small, traditional brick ovens for over 72 hours prior to distillation in 100% handmade copper pot stills.

Spirits Platform CEO Ian Atherton is anticipating strong demand for Teremana in Australia.

“Following the success of Teremana since it launched in the US three years ago, we are excited that the brand is now reaching Australian shores and are delighted to be its official partner,” he said.

“With a substantial launch investment, we anticipate this will be one of the biggest spirits launches Australia has ever seen, and we look forward to partnering with Dwayne Johnson to bring the brand’s ‘Share The Mana’ philosophy to life.”

Available from 1 July, Teremana Blanco will retail for $92, Teremana Reposado for $97, and Teremana Añejo for $106. All three are available for order now from Spirits Platform.
