Easter won’t be quite the celebration we expected, but there are some new low-cal releases to balance out all the chocolate.

Opal Nera

The brand relaunch of famed sambuca Opal Nera is being rolled out across all markets in 2020, with Australia receiving the first bottles last month.

First bottles will be the 700ml, followed by the 500ml and the 1-litre variants in the coming months.

The striking new bottle comes with a unique code for consumers to crack. Playing on its mysterious point of difference, a code lies beneath the logo. It also sits on the bottleneck, which consumers can decipher using a sequence of letters and numbers that appear on the rim, revealing the words ‘dark secret’.

Jacob's Creek Better By Half

Jacob’s Creek has launched a new range of low-alcohol wines that contain half the calories of regular wine – Jacob’s Creek Better By Half.

The range features on-trend varietals Pinot Grigio, Rosé and Brut Cuvée sparkling and meets a growing demand from millennials, who are increasingly adopting a mindset of moderation.

The wine has been reduced to just 5.5% abv, a 50% decrease in alcohol and, due to this, also a 50% decrease in calories. The wine has just 36 calories per 100ml glass.

Rekorderlig Grapefruit-Rosemary

Rekorderlig has launched its latest innovation, Rekorderlig Botanicals, combining a herb-infused savoury alcoholic beverage with delicate and gentle fruit flavours.

Botanicals is available in two flavours – Peach-Basil and Grapefruit-Rosemary, both containing only 80 calories per serve.

The new range is now available in a 4 x 250ml pack from Dan Murphy’s stores nationwide. Rekorderlig Botanicals is distributed in Australia by Coca-Cola Amatil.
