Vranken-Pommery has become the first Grande Marque Champagne House to produce a sparkling wine from English terroir.

Louis Pommery England is produced from distinctive vineyards in southern England, near Hampshire, where Vranken-Pommery put down roots in 2014. The same vein of chalk which runs through Champagne offers the perfect environment to develop an exquisite Sparkling Wine.

Louis Pommery Brut England NV blends predominantly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a small proportion of Pinot Meunier following the traditional method and guidance from Clément Pierlot, Champagne Pommery Chef de Cave who also oversees winemaking for Louis Pommery.

The pressing follows the same technique in order to obtain the finest juice possible. Every drop boasts clarity and brilliance.

Having hit the Australian market, Louis Pommery England is set to flow nationwide as wine connoisseurs and wine curious consumers seek to discover this impressive and unique Cuvée.

Tasting Notes

Louis Pommery England has characters of green apple, fresh lemon and lime, and honeyed stone fruits with well-integrated bubbles and a delightful saline finish.

At first glance, the colour is pale yellow. The bubbles express themselves perfectly as they continuously rise.

To the nose, freshness and finesse emerge from the aromas of lime. This finesse is beautifully coated in the second nose with aromas of blackcurrant and white fruit topped with a hint of honey.

Its finish is long and sapid without harshness, with a well-controlled dosage conceding no sweet sensation. It is righteous and of great honesty.
