The National Independent Liquor Wholesalers Association (NILWA) has announced a new member –  Coast to Coast Liquor Distributors from Mona Vale NSW following the board meeting in early May.

Also decided at the board meeting; incumbent CEO Martin O’Mara was elected Executive Chairman, Rex DÁquino, founding member and director, was elected Deputy Chairman and Jenny Hughes, Business Manager, was promoted to General Manager.

Martin has held various management roles at NILWA in the past 15 years and Rex is a founding member of NILWA, joining the group in 1997. The Board now comprises Joe Carbone (re-elected Executive Director), Fred Griffiths, Don Totino, Sam Oddo, Steve Williams and Jeff Crawley. All Board appointments carry a term of two years.

Jenny Hughes, who has been with NILWA since 2006, was promoted to General Manager. Martin and Jenny have worked closely over the past twelve months on a management transition, with Jenny to take on greater responsibilities and lead the Association, with assistance from the new Executive Chairman and the Board.

The nine member strong national NILWA group services over 3,500 on-premise outlets nation-wide with sales of approximately $125million. The Group has recorded over $15million in sales growth and an increased customer count of 200 additional on-premise venues for the nine-month period July 2015 to March 2016.
