New owners of the Oxford Hotel have breathed new life into the venue, including a refurbishment of the décor and an exciting updated menu. Grant and Anastasia Murray have married traditional favourites with innovative offerings to transform the Oxford Hotel into a unique bespoke venue.

The pair, inspired by the various forms of art observed through their worldwide travels, have created a moody space for the Adelaide venue. Murals of varying styles are a big feature, evoking a worldly ambience.

Grant Murray said, “My wife and I have travelled all around the world, and the first places we visit are all the art galleries – big, small, old or new, modern or left-of-centre. Experiencing art is a lifestyle for us, and we want to share this with our patrons.”

The Oxford Hotel has also added to its makeover a new Head Chef, Symon Conway-Lyden. With a move toward a more organic and sustainable menu. Conway-Lyden has said to expect, “Unique vegetarian and vegan dishes, creating a diverse range of meals to tantalise all taste buds.”

Grant Murray added, “We value good food, good art and good company and our goal is to bring this together in one incredible space. We want the Oxford Hotel to make a statement, ignite the imagination, provoke thought and inspire the soul.”

It is quite the full-scale transformation that should bring the local pub a new life.
