The Board of ILG has announced Paul Esposito as its new CEO, replacing Allen De Costa who resigned late last year.

Esposito will begin his new role on 3 April 2017, leaving Premium Beverages as National Sales Manager.

ILG Chairman Neville Blair said that the Board had conducted an extensive selection process with one of the liquor industry’s leading recruitment agencies, Mondo Search, and felt that Esposito was the “most suitable candidate to assume the leadership role.”

“Paul is a great fit with the leadership competencies set by the Board, having demonstrated driven growth and tactical commercial insight. This, combined with his profound industry knowledge, makes Paul highly qualified to lead the next stage of ILG’s continued progression,” Blair said.

Esposito has been with Premium Beverages, the distribution arm of Coopers Brewery, for fourteen years. Prior to becoming the company’s National Sales Manager, he was the NSW/ACT State Manager.

During his career there he grew beer sales by 500 per cent, representing 90 per cent of the company’s profits.

Esposito commented, “My association with ILG goes a long way, having been in the industry over the past 26 years. I am extremely honoured to have been selected as the co-operative’s new CEO. I look forward to this great opportunity that will allow me to make a contribution to this unique, family-oriented organisation, in close partnership with the Board, management, staff and its valued members.”
