Introducing one determined Darwin U.G.L.Y. that doesn’t give up on her goal.

Hidden Valley Tavern’s U.G.L.Y. Bartender Amy Moore registered to be U.G.L.Y. for the first time last year. She and her team decided they would set a challenging goal of $10,000, and after a lot of hard work they raised an amazing $8,400 and were thrilled to be so close to achieving their goal.

Happy and proud of their effort, Amy was not one to leave a challenge unconquered and so this year raised her U.G.L.Y. hand to do it all over again. Holding many meat tray raffles, car washes and even an ink and bike show, she was reminded of what it takes to be U.G.L.Y.

Amy came in confident that she was going to reach her goal in 2016.

“I know my customers and know what works at my venue,” stated Amy. This knowledge of what her patrons would enjoy has definitely paid off with Amy smashing her $10,000 goal already and now aiming to double it by 14 November 2016.

And Amy’s advice to the over 1,400 U.G.L.Y. Bartenders around Australia? “Don’t stop fundraising. At the end of the day, it’s about helping the cause and making an impact on these families to make their life that little bit easier during their own challenging times.”

Congratulations Amy on your tremendous U.G.L.Y. effort, and a huge shout out to all the U.G.L.Y. Bartenders fundraising in venues around Australia until Monday 14 November! To find your local U.G.L.Y. Bartender visit the U.G.L.Y. website!
