Diageo Appoints New Commercial Director

Diageo Australia has appointed Andrew Clarke as its new Commercial Director. The appointment follows the resignation of Simon Tamke, who held the position for the past year.

Clarke brings to the role more than 25 years of experience working in FMCG companies, beginning his career in the UK. After moving to Australia in 2000, Clarke held Sales Director roles for Arnott’s Biscuits and Mars, before moving to the United States with Mars as Global President of their drinks business.

Most recently, Clarke held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Ingham’s Enterprises, Australia’s leading poultry company.

David Smith, Managing Director, Diageo Australia said, “Andrew is a big hitting commercial director who delivers results. He loves brands, people and customers and he’s going to be a great fit for the Diageo Australia business.”

Clarke will join Diageo in February.
