Asahi has recalled its Cider Lab cider ranges from liquor stores and licensed premises nationally due to concerns some people may suffer an allergic reaction after consuming them.

The Cider Lab Pink Lady Apple, The Cider Lab Royal Gala Apple and The Cider Lab Packham Pear Cider contain undeclared sulphites.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand notes on its website: “Consumers who have a sulphite allergy or intolerance should not drink these products and may have a reaction if the products are consumed. The products can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.”

The recalled ciders were sold individually, as 6 packs or as a 24 pack case, and the recall is for all “Best Before” dates.
