Cape Grim 666 Vodka has unveiled new packaging and two unique new flavours, Lemon Myrtle Honey and Wattleseed Coffee.

The range celebrates Tasmania’s Cape Grim region – a pristine and untouched landscape hidden among wild forests and a rugged coastline.

Cape Grim 666 Vodka – Lemon Myrtle Honey features natural expressions of the Australian bush using ingredients from the world’s purest strain of Liguarian Bees on Kangaroo Island. The honey adds a soft sweetness, while the palate gives a strong hit of lemon, with delicate touches of eucalyptus.

Cape Grim 666 Vodka – Wattleseed Coffee is the world’s first cold filtered coffee vodka created with artisanal coffee specialists St Ali. Featuring a blend of roasted coffee flavours and earthy tones, it has hints of orange peel, dark cocoa and vanilla for a bitter-sweet finish.

The Australian craft spirits category continues to accelerate and is now worth $17.1 million in retail sales value. With the growing trend towards pouring local – and consumers becoming interested in provenance – Cape Grim hopes these two new distinct flavours will excite cocktail enthusiasts and bartenders alike.

Founder of Cape Grim 666 Vodka Dean Lucas said: “The driving force behind the new label design was to bring 666 Vodka’s craft brand story back into the limelight creating a tangible link to Cape Grim, allowing bartenders to expand on and share their local craft spirit knowledge with customers.

“With the rise in demand for fresh and unique tasting cocktails, we saw a great opportunity to showcase local Australian ingredients and create unique profiles. As the only craft producer 100% focused on vodka we are thrilled to bolster our product variety and deliver on-trend flavours that will excite cocktail lovers.”

SouthTrade International noted the introduction of these two new Cape Grim 666 Vodka flavours further strengthens its premium Australian craft spirit portfolio.

SouthTrade International On Trade Sales Manager Andy Wren said: “Cocktail creation can be so much more creative with the introduction of natural botanicals and ingredients for bartenders looking to make their drinks and cocktail menu stand out. Lemon Myrtle Honey and Wattleseed Coffee are two new truly Australian flavours that provide unique profiles. We’re excited to see the new Cape Grim 666 Vodka label on back bars across the country.”

Cape Grim 666 Vodka – Lemon Myrtle Honey and Cape Grim 666 Vodka – Wattleseed Coffee are currently available in select on-premise venues and will be available through independent retailers nationally for RRP $65 from May 2019.
