Coles Liquor announces its premium retail banner VintageCellars is partnering with Golf Australia as a major sponsor of the ISPS Handa Australian Open 2023.

This year’s event will be held in Sydney at The Australian and The Lakes Golf Club from November 30 to December 4.

The 2023 event will feature the continuation of the joint tournament format. It will allow fans to see some of the best men’s and women’s golfers playing for different titles on the same course at the same time.

Men and women will play in alternating groups across both courses over the first two days, then at The Australian Golf Club on the weekend.

For sports fans and lovers of golf, it’s a must-attend event.

Brand activation includes a Vintage Cellars pop-up bar in the Fan Village. Champagne Canard-Duchêne, wines by Audrey Wilkinson from the Hunter Valley and cold Peroni beer will pour over the four days.

Mia Lloyd, General Manager of Customer Loyalty, said, “We’re delighted to be the official alcohol retailer and champagne and sparkling wine partner of the ISPS Handa Australian Open.

“This event attracts some of the best golfers in the world, and we’re looking forward to celebrating all that the tournament has to offer at our Vintage Cellars pop-up bar.

“Golfers and golf fans alike can enjoy a delicious glass of Canard-Duchêne champagne, elegant wines from Audrey Wilkinson wines or a Peroni.”

With a full complement of tournament partners, Golf Australia General Manager – Commercial Anthony Everard said the new partner was a sign of corporate Australia’s appetite for golf.

“Over the past few years, we have seen fantastic growth in golf participation in all its forms.

“This interest is translating to corporate Australia, and the appetite to associate with a year-round sport that has such broad appeal has never been stronger.

“Our new partnerships with Vintage Cellars will add significantly to the fan experience at the ISPS Handa Australian Open, and we are delighted to have them supporting the event,” Everard said.
