Showcasing an incredible line-up of Australian performers, The Bundaberg Distilling Company has announced its highly anticipated Spirit of Bundaberg Festival will return on 9 May 2015.

Headlining the bi-annual festival will be Australian rock legends and ten-time Aria winners, You Am I. Featuring guitarist and vocalist Tim Rogers along with band mates Russell Hopkinson on drums, Andy Kent on Bass, and Davey Lane on guitar.

Joining them on stage will be Victorian psych-rock sisters Stonefield, Melbourne’s one-man music making machine, Harts, banjo wielding bluesman, Karl S Williams, and Brisbane-based slacker rockers, Babaganouj.

“The Spirit of Bundaberg Festival is our way of paying back to the community and we want to deliver a unique music line-up that engages music fans from all genres,” Senior Brand Manager for Bundaberg Rum, Duncan Littler said.

“We believe that this event will become one of Queensland’s premier festivals and we’re excited to showcase some of the best Australian music acts alongside the best Bundaberg has to offer.”

The area’s biggest and free music festival brings together locals and those from across the country to experience food stalls, cocktail master classes, the famous Brewed and Craft Bar and the Bundaberg Distillatorium, as well as local gelateria, Nana’s Pantry who have created a custom range of gelato including Bundaberg Coffee & Chocolate and Bundaberg Banana and Toffee flavour, using Bundaberg Rum Royal Liqueur, to be available exclusively at the event.

The distillery grounds into a lively festival arena open to the public from 10am to 5pm.

The celebration will also mark the latest release of Bundaberg Rum’s Master Distillers’ Collection (MDC);  each year, the MDC releases a new blend in limited, numbered bottles and will proudly release the 2015 Blenders Edition to kick-off festivities on the day.

This year’s remarkable rum is a complex blend, layered with delicate hints of raisins, spice and tobacco, coupled with a long and exceptionally smooth finish.
