New Australian Wine Spritzer Secures National Reach in its First Month

The new all natural Australian white wine spritzer, SOFI Spritz, has grown rapidly over the last month.

Since its launch in December 2014, SOFI Spritz has secured ranging with major liquor outlets nationally, including Dan Murphy’s, Kemenys and Cellarbrations, among others.

In addition and to support its expansion, SOFI has been hosting an aggressive tasting campaign in stores across the country, as well as attending interstate and international wine shows. And in 2014, SOFI received the highest category medal at the 2014 Los Angeles International Wine Show.

This year, founder Tommy Maclean said that SOFI will be shifting its focus to target the on-premise and events. In particular, the brand will be focusing on fashion events with the aim of targeting its predominantly female audience.

“We would love to see SOFI become a convenient alternative for the fashion shows. The size of the packaging and the quality of the ingredients makes for an ideal fit”, Mr. Maclean said.

SOFI has been made from local riesling, blood orange, bitters and sparkling water, to produce an Australian white wine spritzer with a crisp, bitter-sweet Mediterranean flavour influence.

SOFI comes in a convenient 200ml bottle, with an 8% ABV (1.3 standard drinks per bottle), retailing for $8 each. The 200ml bottle is also available in a four pack, which retails for $18.
