Sandstone Lager is a limited-edition brew crafted exclusively for Capella Sydney by Australian beermaker Young Henrys.
Available at Capella Sydney’s three onsite venues, as well as in the 192 guestrooms and suites, the lager pays tribute to the storied surroundings of the hotel, with custom packaging illustrated by local artist Sindy Sinn.
Located in the historic Sandstone Precinct in the CBD, Capella Sydney is fronted by sandstone sourced from the nearby suburb of Maroubra. Embellished with hand-carved detailing prescribed by its early 1900s architect, George McRae, the honey-hued facade gave inspiration to the naming of Sandstone Lager.

Easy-drinking Sandstone Lager is a filtered European-style brew, pouring crystal-clear with a golden hue and crowned by a bright white head. Sweet aromatics and a subtle floral note accompanied by refreshing notes of clean biscuity malt glide over the palate, leaving a hint of honey on the finish.
