Cool-climate Victorian winery Fowles Wine has partnered with Domaine Wine Shippers to expand its national footprint across on-trade and through independent channels.

The partnership comes into effect early next month and Matt Fowles, CEO of Fowles, said both the on-trade experience is a foundational part his business and an important part of future growth targets.

“At Fowles our heartland has always been the on-trade. The restaurants, pubs and bars of Australia are often the place people first experience our wine.

“Our relationship with the on-trade and our customers is of paramount importance. We were looking for ways to connect with more venues around the country and scoured the industry looking for the right national distribution partner who would understand the importance of these relationships,” he said.

Fowles said Domaine Wine Shippers exceeded his expectations against every measure, and in the end the choice was an easy one.

“Ultimately, it was an easy decision to trust them with our wines and our on-trade relationships. Add in their considerable presence and influence across the independent channel and it was a no brainer,” he said.

Melinda Steel, CEO of Domaine Wine Shippers echoed the sentiment. “We’re delighted to welcome Fowles Wine to the Domaine Wine Shippers portfolio. We as a company believe this new partnership is a wonderful opportunity, and take pride in working with another family-owned company who consistently deliver the best from their region and share our passion to deliver value for money wines to our customers,” she said.

Domaine Wine Shippers will represent the full Fowles portfolio of award-winning cool climate wines, including their Ladies who Shoot their Lunch, Are you Game?, Farm to Table, Stone Dwellers and Upton Run ranges.
