Coles has awarded its most outstanding suppliers across the country at the 2023 Coles Supplier Awards hosted in Melbourne last week.

The Awards recognised 16 businesses for excellence in various categories, including Campari Australia, who won Coles Liquor Supplier of the Year and Australian Vintage, who won Exclusive Liquor Brands Supplier of the Year.

Leah Weckert, CEO of Coles Group, congratulated the winners and finalists and thanked all suppliers for their commitment to providing customers with the best quality products.

“I want to express my appreciation – and that of our 120,000 team members and millions of customers – for the support of our suppliers. We’re delighted they’ve chosen to partner, build and grow their organisations with us,” she said.

Campari was chosen as the overall Liquor Supplier of the Year for their excellent customer offering and partnership with Coles on its glassware loyalty campaign.

“We’re committed to working together with our suppliers to help our customers come together for a meal with delicious food and drink with friends and family. Right now, we have the great opportunity to help our customers do this whilst finding value, making healthy choices and being a little more sustainable every day,” said Weckert.

Australian Vintage was recognised for its consumer-centred communications and partnerships with Justine Schofield, The Butcher’s Cellar and Meatstock association, and its commitment to sustainability through repurposing alcohol removed from non-alcoholic products.

Natalie Thornhill, National Business Manager (Coles) at Australian Vintage, said: “We were honoured to take home the Exclusive Liquor Brands Supplier of the Year award! Thank you to the Coles team for the incredible recognition, continued support, and collaborative partnership. It is a privilege to work with a customer that has such a great crew of people, enabling awesome culture and empowering their team. We look forward to continuing this great relationship and reaching bigger heights in FY24.”
