Feral Brewery from WA has been voted as the number one Australian craft beer in the ‘Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers’ poll, for the third year running. Run by co-owners of The Local Taphouse venues, the Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers poll asks craft beer venues across Australia to vote for their favourite Australian craft beers each year.

Feral Brewery took out the top position with its Hop Hog American Pale Ale, while Stone & Wood Pacific Ale and 4 Pines Pale Ale, both from NSW, took out second and third position respectively. Co-founder of The Local Taphouse, Steve Jeffares, says it’s been exciting to see the results this year.

“The increase in the number of new beers and styles being brewed is incredible and many of these are found in this year’s results. While pale ale easily remains the most popular style, India pale ales, a stronger, hoppier style, is catching up, following the trend in the United States”, Mr. Jeffares explains.

Feral Brewery’s Hop Hog American Pale Ale retails for $17.99 a four-pack and $57.99 for a cube of 16, and is available from distributors: Liquid Mix and ALM (WA), Calibre Beer (QLD) and The Beer Peddler (SA).
