Rekorderlig Kicks-Off Winter Campaign with Venues

Swedish cider brand Rekorderlig has partnered with five venues across the country to launch its latest winter serve, which includes a teapot of Rekorderlig Hot Spiced Äpple Cider and matching glassware.

Rekorderlig’s winter cider was first released in 2015 and was served in the on-premise last winter with Swedish-inspired savoury and sweet morsels.

This is the first year that the Rekorderlig Spiced Äpple Cider has been created to share. The idea is to bring groups of friends together at a bar to catch up and stay warm during the cooler months.

Between June and September, partnering venues will each have an area transformed into a cosy and inviting oasis. The spaces will invite customers to relax in luxurious armchairs, with comfy cushions, cosy blankets and ambient lighting.

The venues included in Rekorderlig’s 2017 winter activation are The Regatta in QLD; The Greens in NSW; El Coco in VIC; The Feathers Hotel in SA; and Niche Bar in WA.

Other venues are also encouraged to get involved by serving Rekorderlig Spiced Äpple Cider through the winter months, and the brand has come up with two recipes using the cider to help you give your customers something a little extra.

Traditionally served chilled or warm with a slice of orange, this year Rekorderlig is also recommending the cider to be served hot with Australian Bitters and Scotch.

The second serve was originally created by Stephen Duffy from The Fiddler, Sydney at the Rekorderlig Bar Tender Jam Sessions last year and has been slightly modified with spiced rum replacing white rum for a warming concoction this year.

Consumers can also easily enjoy the Rekorderlig Hot Spiced Äpple Cider at home by gently heating the cider in a pan and serving with a slice of orange.

The Rekorderlig Cosy Spiced Pear Cocktail – AKA The Cosy
Glass: Heatproof glass or cup
Ingredients:
150ml Rekorderlig Spiced Äpple Cider
1.5 x Tsp. of pear puree
1 x Dash of Australian Bitters
1 x Egg white
Method: Mix all of the ingredients together, except the cider. Gently heat the cider and pour into the mixed ingredients. Gently stir and pour into a heatproof glass.
Garnish: A slice of pear

The Cunning Fox
Glass: Heatproof glass or cup
Ingredients:
150ml Rekorderlig Spiced Äpple Cider
30ml Blended Scotch Whisky
1 x Dash of Australian Bitters
Method: Gently heat the cider in a saucepan and pour the warm cider into a heatproof glass or cup. Add the remaining ingredients and stir gently.
Garnish: A slice of orange
