The Paul Hogan Show stars Hoges, Strop and Delvene are back together in a beer ad for the Hotel Brunswick.
Paul Hogan, John Cornell and Delvene Delaney appear in the ad to launch the pub’s new Classic Brew – Summer Ale.
The ale is freshly hand-crafted at Seven Mile Brewery, just down the road from the Hotel Brunswick in Ballina, using 100% Aussie ingredients. It’s a new take on an old classic, the Australian Pale Ale, described as having a smooth mouthfeel and mild bitter finish of hops, malted oats, tropical fruits and citrus.
The beer is supporting a bushfire relief fund, which was kick-started with $200,000 from the owners of the Hotel Brunswick – Delaney and Cornell – and David Gyngell, the former CEO of Nine – in collaboration with Paul Hogan.
The ad features a flashback to the Paul Hogan show, with Hoges and Strop’s famous Hangover Cure sketch.
The Paul Hogan Show ran from 1973 to 1984.
The hotel said: “We’ve recently installed a Charity Tap, enabling us to continue giving by donating 100% of profits from our Hotel Brunswick Classic Brew to worthy causes.”
