The Glenlivet 12 year old is returning to Australia for the first time since November 2015.

According to Pernod Ricard, the decision to reintroduce the coveted expression was made following increased global availability of aged stock and in response to feedback from The Glenlivet fans across the country.
The classic award-winning whisky will be available in bars and retailers in limited stocks from October 1.

The Glenlivet 12 Year Old embodies the signature style of The Glenlivet and upholds the brand’s position as the definitive Speyside single malt. Matured using American and European Oak Casks, this timeless expression encompasses a distinctive smooth style, imparting notes of vanilla and pineapple.

The first bottling of a 12 Year Old expression from The Glenlivet distillery dates back to 1935 and has won numerous awards and accolades since. These have recently included silver medals at the International Spirits Challenge 2018 and International Wine and Spirits Competition 2018, as well as winning the 12 years and under category at the Spirit of Speyside Awards.

Sinea Weintz, Brand Ambassador for The Glenlivet said: “Australians love The Glenlivet 12 Year Old and there is strong demand for Scotch whisky across the country. The single malts category alone in Australia is in strong double-digit growth at +19.7%*.”

Commenting on a recent trip to Australia, The Glenlivet Master Distiller Alan Winchester said: “As I travelled around the country talking to whisky enthusiasts, I was pleased to see that drinkers really enjoyed the classic Speyside flavours of The Glenlivet 12 Year Old – so now I am absolutely delighted to report that it’s back.”

The Glenlivet 12 Year Old is available at leading Australian liquor retailers at an RRP of $85.
