Brisbane’s Tapworks bar is preparing to launch its own brewery with an equity crowdfunding campaign.

Investors will soon have the chance to own a part of the expansion and brewery for as little as $500. Crafty Fox Investments is raising up to $1,000,000 from investors through an equity crowdfunding offer with Birchal.

Glenn Vos, Director of Tapworks said he is excited to launch the crowdfunding campaign as it not only allows for quicker expansion of venues, but also the ability to tap into market trends with a brewpub.

“We wanted to create a beer brand for the people, and now it will be by the people too,” he said. “By opening up our own brewery and tapping into the years of experience and sales data and trends in craft beer we have, we can absolutely give the people what they want, which is an exciting thought.”

The Crafty Fox Investments offer will feature investment rewards from $500 and up to $10,000 for retail investors. Investors will receive ordinary shares in the company and also be offered different discount levels at all of our venues.

“We’ve always been passionate about beer and hospitality and with our crowdfunding campaign and expansion plans, we can reach more people and give them what they want,” Vos said.

Tapworks Chermside, a 90 seater, 200sqm beer bar and restaurant, opened up in June 2017 as part of Westfield Chermside’s new dining precinct with 20 other restaurants, and has been popular among locals.  The second venue at Westfield Coomera has recently opened and is a craft beer haven spread over two levels.
