Sydney Craft Beer Week will launch its own awards night during this year’s program, dedicated to celebrating the people behind Australia’s craft beer industry. Event organisers decided to develop an independent set of awards for the festival after the Craft Beer Industry Association made the decision to move away from its national Craft Beer Awards, usually run in conjunction with Sydney Craft Beer Week, and focus its awards at state level.

Awards
Categories of the Sydney Craft Beer Awards will include Champion Craft Beer Label Design, Champion Craft Beer Retailer, Champion Craft Beer Venue, Champion Craft Beer Subscription Club, Champion Craft Beer Ambassador and Craft Beer Personality 2016. An up-and-coming craft beer brewery, venue and brewer will also be nominated under the One to Watch category.

The Sydney Craft Beer Awards will further present a Legend Award to the person who has contributed the most to the craft beer industry in Sydney/NSW.

Nominations are now open and industry are encouraged to nominate their colleagues and suppliers.

The awards will be judged by people’s choice and a panel of industry experts.
