St Andrews Beach Brewery has unveiled its new Tidal Artesian Seltzer, a naturally brewed and fermented alcoholic seltzer.
It’s brewed from a blend of local artesian water, cane sugar, yeast and a dash of lime or yuzu citrus. No spirits or ethanol’s are added to the brewing process and each serve contains only 85 calories, 2g of sugar and 3 carbohydrates.
St Andrews Beach Brewery’s Managing Director Andrew Purchase said: “We are super excited to officially launch our new brand Tidal Artesian Seltzer. We saw a great opportunity to be one of the first independent breweries to release a hard seltzer in Australia and we are really proud of the brand and range we have created.
“What makes Tidal unique to other seltzer’s in the market is that the water we use to produce our seltzer is drawn from our very own artesian spring, located 155-feet below our Mornington Peninsula property. This and the fact that no spirits and ethanol’s are added during the brewing process means Tidal is a true to style hard seltzer.”
Although the hard seltzer category is in its infancy in Australia the category is booming in the US.
“After visiting America in October last year, it was unbelievable to see how many people were drinking hard seltzers as an alternative to beer, wine and spirits.” said Purchase.
