Nort, the locally-brewed 100% crafted non-alcoholic beer, has launched a non-alcoholic Pacific Ale, just ahead of Dry July.

Australian made, award-winning Nort Refreshing Ale is a thirst quenching beer, golden in colour with a fruity aroma and refreshingly crisp finish. Brewed naturally, unlike other beers in the zero category, Nort’s high-quality taste is a result of the craftsmanship that goes into creating it.

As of July, Nort will boast four alcohol-free varieties, Refreshing Ale and the latest additions, the world’s first non-alc Pacific Ale, Tropical XPA and All Day IPA. All the beers are below 50 calories which makes Nort’s range the lowest calorie Australian made beer in the country.

The flavour of passionfruit and tropical aromas assault the taste buds in the new Pacific Ale, with a golden haze appearance, a light sessionable body, coming in at just 49 calories. All the flavour, none of the fuzzies.

Jaz Wearin, co-founder and owner of Modus Operandi Brewery and Nort said: “Nort was born amidst lock-down. Like most of the world I was juggling a business, parenting and trying to stay healthy and focused. As a brewery owner and beer fanatic, I soon realised there was a massive need to grow the non-alcoholic beer category and offer Aussies a non-alcoholic beer that is carefully crafted and rich in flavour. Nort gives you options. A beer to balance with an  alcoholic beverage so you can drive home, get out for that early morning surf or head into that board meeting. Or it can be a beer you can have at any time of the day without feeling guilty or fuzzy afterwards.”

Nort’s creators, Modus Operandi Brewing, observed that simply removing alcohol from a beer often leaves the product tasting sweet and plain, leaving you dissatisfied or disappointed. So, with years of brewing experience, the team set out to craft a new non-alcoholic beer using traditional brewing methods.

“We worked hard on the recipe, ingredients and brewing process to ensure this was 100 per cent non-alcoholic, but also 100 per cent crafted beer.”

There is no compromise on craftsmanship, quality nor flavour delivering an exceptional full flavoured non-alcoholic beer, as close to the real deal as you’ll find. Nort recently took out a silver medal at the Australian International Beer Awards – it is first year the awards have presented a non-alcoholic beer category.

The alcohol-free category has seen a tremendous amount of activity in recent months, as consumers’ sober curiosity evolves into one of the fastest growing beverage categories in the market. With reports of the global non-alcoholic beer industry accounting for 5 per cent market share in global beer industry by 2027, it is no surprise Nort has seen sales of their alcohol-free Refreshing Ale double month on month.

Wearin continues, “I believe the strength in this category comes down to balance. That doesn’t mean no alcohol, it means balancing awesome IPAs and then flipping over to a non-alcoholic so they can drive home, put their kids to bed, get up in the morning for a surf or a ride and then hit the day head-on feeling great. Retailers are informing us that they are seeing consumers purchase non-alcoholic beer in addition to their traditional alcoholic purchases which further establishes that this is about balance.”

NORT Refreshing Ale is available in all Woolworths, BWS and Dan Murphy outlets. Pacific Ale, Tropical XPA and All Day IPA launches late June via online platforms Sans Drinks, Amazon Australia and Beer Cartel and in independent retailers across the country.
