Amber Beverage Group has entered into a national distribution agreement with Dodge, an Australian-born alcohol recovery beverage. Developed in 2022 in collaboration with Monash University’s Food Innovation Centre, Dodge is composed of more than 10 natural extracts and vitamins which collectively help the to metabolise alcohol, reduce inflammation and nausea, and replenish vitamins and minerals.
The new deal, which will come into effect from 1 October, hopes to satiate a current market gap by combining the distributor’s global reach with the unique beverage product.
“Dodge complements our existing portfolio perfectly by addressing the growing demand for beverages that support a balanced lifestyle,” said Tanya Mah, Head of Marketing at Amber Beverage Group.
“Leveraging Dodge’s innovative formulation alongside our extensive global distribution capabilities, we are excited to introduce an effective solution to the enduring challenge of hangovers, offering consumers a mindful approach to enjoyment and hedonistic wellness”.
The Dodge beverage is available in a 200ml can format and is designed to be consumed as the last drink of the night. Its active ingredients include Chinese vine tea extract, which it says is richer in dihydromyricetin than Asian pear juice, an ingredient used in various other commercially available hangover prevention and remedy products such as Prepear and Bae Juice.
Dodge also includes other ingredients such as ginger to reduce nausea, red ginseng to counter inflammation, along with milk thistle, turmeric extract, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and vitamin C.
According to Co-Founder Alec Balcombe, “we developed Dodge to balance the demands of raising a family while staying social and enjoying a few bevvies with mates. Finishing the day or night with a can of Dodge means you can reclaim your morning and face the next day with confidence.”
Braeden Leahy, fellow Co-Founder, added, “this partnership is a major milestone for Dodge. Until now, our focus has been on creating the most effective recovery product on the market. This collaboration marks a key step in our transition into a global growth phase. That’s why partnering with Amber Beverage Group, with their outstanding track record in growing innovative brands, is incredibly exciting.”
Earlier this year, another Australian-owned hangover supplement brand, alc-eze, also launched to market. The alc-eze hangover relief tablets are based on a blend of seven ingredients that, when combined, work to actively help avoid hangover symptoms by enhancing the body’s capacity to effectively process alcohol. The main ingredient, nashi pear, was identified by the CSIRO as being capable of reducing hangover symptoms by 80% if consumed in large enough quantities.
From 1 October, Dodge will be available nationwide via Amber Beverage Australia. For more information, contact your local rep today.
