There’s a little something for everyone in this week’s summer drinks releases, with Australia’s first alcoholic mineral water, a new beer to mark Bob Hawke’s birthday, new wine ranges from Constellation and Curatif adds a Bloody Mary and a Margarita to its canned range.
Somma alcoholic mineral water, no-sugar alternative to traditional ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages is now available in Australia.
Somma is an Australian-first alcoholic mineral water, echoing the popular alcoholic seltzers that have recently taken off in the American market.
The alcoholic sparkling water, which is available in two flavours – cucumber & mint and watermelon & lime – has less than 34 calories per 100ml as opposed to around 60 calories in a standard ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage or 70 in 100ml of white wine.
Somma is $18.00 for a four-pack of 250ml cans and is available exclusively at Liquorland, Vintage Cellars, First Choice Liquor and First Choice Liquor Market.
Hawke’s Brewing Company has launched a special beer – Hawke’s Legend IPA – to celebrate the Australian legend’s 90th birthday.
The granddaughter of the late Bob Hawke, Sophie Taylor-Price (nee Pieters-Hawke), was on hand to honour the former Prime Minister at a celebration at The Clock Hotel in Surry Hills on what would have been his milestone 90th birthday.
The special IPA will be poured in 50 venues in NSW and ACT until it runs out.
Constellation Brands has launched two new wine ranges – Young & Co and Neon Jungle – which will include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Rosé, sourced from France, Italy and California.
The Young & Co range features bottles wrapped in ‘pop art-esque’ labels designed to highlight the key flavour of each white wine and includes ‘Butterscotch Bliss’ Chardonnay, ‘Nectar Burst’ Pinot Gris, and ‘Strawberry Hustle’ Rosé.
This month also marks the launch of Young & Co ‘Super Fresh’ white wines – a range of fruit-driven wines including a Californian Chardonnay, French Rosé and Italian Pinot Gris.
The Young & Co white wine range is available from October 2019 in BWS stores nationally for $22 (RRP). The Young & Co Super Fresh white wines are also available from October 2019 in BWS stores nationally for $17 (RRP).
The Neon Jungle range will be available in Liquorland stores for $20.00 (RRP) from October 2019. The new white wines are also joined by two red wines, Neon Jungle Malbec (Argentina) and Neon Jungle Tempranillo (Spain), available in Liquorland from October 2019 for $20.00 (RRP).
Curatif has released a new Escape Series, featuring Archie Rose Bloody Mary and a Tequila Tromba Tommy’s Margarita canned cocktails.
The Escape Series is first being rolled out to Jackalope Hotel on Mornington Peninsula, Pablo and Rusty’s in Sydney and Pink Hotel in Coolangatta, with plans to expand the range into select hotels and retailers nationally.
The Escape Series will sit outside of the essential Curatif suite, and are designed to be consumed poolside.
SOFI Spritz has released its first-ever Summer Series across the country with a limited-edition Wild Berries and Pomegranate all-natural cocktail can.
SOFI’s twist is made with Australian wine, seasonal wild berries, pomegranate and sparkling water.
