New releases: spring innovations on shelf

Consumers have a taste for innovation and spring 2020 is not disappointing them, here are some of the new releases on shelf.

Ginsecco

Squealing Pig is launching Squealing Pig Ginsecco in response to the rising popularity of both gin and prosecco.

Squealing Pig Ginsecco will launch in a 250ml slimline can. The product includes the same base gin (with 10 botanicals), as featured in Squealing Pig Rosé Gin, together with Squealing Pig Prosecco and soda.

Squealing Pig will also release a Rosé Ginsecco to complement the new range.

Squealing Pig Ginsecco is available from September through leading liquor retailers and select on-premise venues (RRP: $22.99 per four-pack).

Wine Maker's Series

Brown Brothers Winemaker’s Series focuses on small batch, single vineyard, alternative varietals, unusual blends, and new winemaking techniques.

According to Brown Family Wines “these wines are what get our winemakers out of bed each morning!”

NORT beer

Modus Operandi Brewing is launching a new non-alcoholic beer called NORT.

The 100% crafted ale will be sold nationally in Dan Murphys, BWS and leading independent bottle-shops and grocers.

NORT has a RRP of $14.49 for a 6-pack.

Kylie Minogue wine

Following the sell-out success of Kylie Minogue Signature Rosé in the UK, Benchmark Drinks has appointed De Bortoli Wines as the distributor for the brand in Australia.

The company will launch the brand with the Signature Rosé this October, just in time for Spring.

Executive Director Victor De Bortoli said: “The De Bortoli family are thrilled to be partnering with such an Australian icon and sharing our wine passion together.”

Riot Spritz

Riot Wine Co has launched R!OT Rosé Spritz, which features citrus botanicals including blood orange and passionfruit, married with a slight sweetness from the grape juice.

It has only 78 calories and 3.6g of sugar per 150mL serve at 8% alc/vol.

R!OT Rosé Spritz is available in four-packs of 250mL cans and cartons of 24 cans from September 28 at bottle shops across the country, at The Cannery in Brompton South Australia, and online at Catch of the Day, eBay, Amazon, Kogan and the R!OT online shop.

Arras

House of Arras is celebrating the release of its annual vintage collection, including four new vintages: House of Arras Rosé 2008, House of Arras Grand Vintage 2009, House of Arras Museum Release Blanc de Blancs 2004 and House of Arras E.J. Carr Late Disgorged Magnum 2004.

In addition, House of Arras has unveiled the first new wine to its portfolio in more than six years – House of Arras Blanc de Blancs NV.

The 2020 vintage collection available at fine wine retailers nationally and online at www.houseofarras.com.au. House of Arras Blanc de Blancs NV is available at Vintage Cellars and selected on-premise venues nationally.

Delvi

Delvi Sparkling Alcoholic Seltzer has partnered with beverage veteran Dean Grant on its new range focusing on locally farmed organic ingredients and pure Australian waters.

The result is Delvi’s new Blood Orange Passion and Desert Lime Sparkling Alcoholic Seltzer.

Delvi Sparkling Alcoholic Seltzer is available at BWS and Dan Murphy’s stores in VIC and NSW.

A new premium wine brand called ‘The Group’ has harnessed the collective skills, quality and expertise of around 100 grape growers and their families.

Constellation Brands has worked exclusively with a wine-growers’ collective called Winegrapes, to ensure the vineyards continue to thrive and grow.

The Group’s core wines are available currently in Liquorland and First Choice Liquor Market Stores nationally. The Shadow Pinot Noir and The Murder Shiraz will also be available in 375ml for an RRP of $22 at select Liquorland stores. The Siege 2019 McLaren Vale Shiraz will be available at select Liquorland stores from mid-September.
