Brisbane based Idle Hour Vodka has launched a new expression in time for summer. Inspired by the native flavour of Kakadu plum alongside ginger, Idle Hour says that it is in a prime position to star on drink trolleys around the country this summer.

The new, limited edition, Kakadu Plum and Ginger, first of a native series, channels the taste of the Australian bush without compromising the integrity of a smooth vodka finish. The release comes just weeks after the brand was awarded prestigious medals at both the Melbourne International Spirit Festival and San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

“Our latest creation showcases our ability to elevate vodka with native ingredients and is just the beginning of an even larger range expansion” says co-founder and Director, Ewen Pettit.

The Brisbane born brand, established in 2020 at the height of the lockdowns, is making waves even in its infancy, securing national distribution with Dan Murphy’s, BWS and independent retailers.

Distilled locally from Australian ingredients, the Idle Hour brand, is now preparing to expand its offering in coming weeks with the launch of a Ready to Drink range.

“We are focused on showcasing how versatile Idle Hour can be” says Mr Pettit, “Native flavour was the perfect starting point for us”.

Idle Hour Vodka, is available at leading wholesalers, selected Dan Murphy’s and independent retailers as well as in on-premise outlets across the country.
