Jimmy Snelgrove is the new Mr Black Brand Ambassador in Australia.

During his time at one of Australia’s most innovative bars, PS40, as well as representing Seedlip in Australia, Snelgrove has fostered his skills as a masterful mixologist.

Since joining the mission to bring craft coffee into the night, Snelgrove has carefully curated two signature cocktails: the Reverse Black-hatton, with Mr Black, Rye, Vermouth, bitters, walnut; and the 50:50 Short Black, with Mr Black, Fernet Branca, Peychaude, Absinthe, orange.

Snelgrove said he was excited to re-ignite his love for Australia’s finest boozy coffee and looked forward to preaching the gospel of coffee cocktails in Australia’s best bars, hotels, pubs and restaurants,

SouthTrade International announced it would begin exclusive distribution of the Australian craft spirit brand last year.

The deal includes representing Mr Black’s Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and Coffee Amaro expressions.

SouthTrade International Managing Director Ray Noble said: “With the explosion of the Espresso Martini and SouthTrade’s proven success in the coffee liqueur category, we are delighted that Mr Black has made the decision to partner with SouthTrade. Mr Black is definitely the new ‘up and coming’ brand which is rapidly gaining a following with bartenders, baristas and consumers alike. ”

The spirit is created at Distillery Botanica on the Central Coast, with Noble proudly noting “it’s all handmade using locally sourced coffee beans; the brand really does care about it.”

Since Sydneysiders Tom Baker and Philip Moore launched the brand in 2012, sales have doubled each year and it’s now sold in more than a 1000 bars, restaurants and liquor shops across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the UK and US.
