Actor Chris Noth has joined the growing number of actors investing in alcohol companies.
The Golden Globe nominee and SAG Award nominated actor, best known for his role as Mr Big in Sex And The City, has acquired majority ownership of Ambhar, an ultra-premium award-winning artisan spirit made in small batches from 100% blue agave.
“My involvement with Ambhar Tequila starts with this basic premise — I drink it. It’s delicious and soul satisfying. So…Why not?” said Noth. “I’m really excited about the opportunity to help reinvent the perception of tequila and elevate the experience of enjoying this ultra-premium spirit the way it’s supposed to be, one sip at a time.”
Noth’s interest in a partnership came about after his first sip of Ambhar Tequila. He then learned more about the company and saw all the potential it had to offer.
“As an entrepreneur and co-owner of The Cutting Room in New York City, I’m pretty well versed in spirits, and I have to admit that Ambhar is the first tequila I’ve been excited about drinking by itself.”
He reached out Ambhar’s founders and the rest is history.

In connection with the investment, Noth will be involved with the creative direction of the company and work with the co-founders on strategic business decisions.
