March into Merivale Returns in 2016

MARCH INTO MERIVALEMerivale’s food and wine festival is set to return next month, bringing together top restaurants and bars in Sydney over five jam-packed weeks.

Located at ivy, each year the festival provides Merivale’s venues the chance to showcase their best dishes, wines, Champagnes and cocktails to consumers in Sydney.

Mr. Wong, The Paddington, Coogee Pavilion, est., Papi Chulo, the soon to be opened Queen Victoria Enmore and The Newport and Fred’s will kick off the festivities in 2016 at The Merivale Launch Party on Wednesday 10 February.

Following the launch and running each Monday until 20 March, March into Merivale will be putting on a number of masterclasses relevant to those interested or in the hospitality industry. Villa Maria’s Josh Hammons and Merivale’s Franck Moreau will be presenting a number of limited edition reserves on 22 February, while on 7 March, Justin and Bettina Hemmes, Kelvin Ho, Emilie Delalande and Amanda Talbot will be providing insight into the inspiration behind the aesthetic of their venues in a Style Me Merivale masterclass.

On Tuesdays, festival goers can dine and drink for $45 at Ash St. Cellar, Ms. G’s, Papi Chulo and for $55 at Felix, Uccello, Bistrode CBD, The Paddington and sushi e.

Wednesdays will present a series of showcases from venues. On 9 March, the Establishment Hotel will be taken over for a night of cocktail exploration and theatrical escapism and later on March 16, Bubble with Guilt at Hemmesphere will be showcasing all things Champagne in a tasting of twenty vintages at the iconic cocktail lounge.

Consumers will be able to join Merivale’s most illustrious chefs at once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences on march-into-merivaleThursday nights and on Fridays, the UK’s biggest, boldest and brashest night Guilty Pleasures will unveil DJs, cabaret performances and Chandon’s Unplanned Brand at Palings.

Pacha Sydney will present Absolut Nights on Saturdays with headline performances by a host of local and international DJ talent Trance Nation feat. EXIS (20 February), Thomas Jack (27 February), Yolanda Be Cool and Nicky Night Time (5 March), DJ Fresh (11 March) and Robin Schulz (26 March).

Come Sunday, Sydney siders can wind down at Sunday Sundown on Coogee Rooftop and ivy Pool Club or at the beach at the Coogee Foreshore Festival.
