The lowest carbohydrate cider yet is coming to Australia.

Recently released by international cider brand Magners, Magners Blonde contains 75 per cent less carbs and 40 per cent less calories, making it the lowest carb cider on the market.

Denis Brown, Managing Director of Bacardi-Lion said the launch follows growing health trends in Australia.

“In Australia we know we’re a nation that cares about what we’re consuming and what’s contained within the liquid”, Brown said. “So there was a clear opportunity in low carb and low calorie cider to further develop the category.”

“As an alternative to regular cider, Magners Blonde offers drinkers a more sessionable cider that they can enjoy without the concern of a high carb or sugar intake.”

While 75 per cent lower in carbs, the cider still tastes much like the original Magners cider, made from different varieties of Magners’ apples and blended at the famous cidery in Clonmel, Ireland.

Magners Blonde will be available in Australia from this November, in 330mlx4 ($13.99) and a case of 24 ($55).
