Kegstar Australia & New Zealand is on the hunt for a new GM.
Nick Boots, current General Manager Australia & New Zealand, is departing the business to work with long-term Kegstar partner Stone & Wood Brewing Co.
“It has been a great honour to work with the Kegstar team and you, the very best of the Australian, New Zealand and more recently Asian Brewing, Cider, Wine and Spirits communities,” Boots said.
His final day at Kegstar will be Friday, September 28, with Kegstar General Manager of Finance and Commercial, Francesca Gangemi will oversee the ANZ business from October until a long-term successor is appointed.
“Many thanks to you all for your support or me personally and of the Kegstar ANZ business during my time tenure, I look forward to catching up with as many of you as possible over the next six weeks to share a beer,” Boots concluded.
Big month for Stone & Wood
It’s a busy time for Stone & Wood. The brewery recently decommissioned its original brewhouse, first assembled in Byron Bay in 2008 and is on move to a new brewery build on Ewingsdale Road, just around the corner.
The company has also announced it’s opening a brewery in Brisbane.
The 90-seat project will occupy an old warehouse and former custom motorcycle shop on Bridge Street in Fortitude Valley.
The venue will include a small brewery to be used for brewing a rotating range of beers for on site consumption in the tasting room. It will also incorporate an event space and provide offices and storage.
It’s hoped the new brewhouse will open its doors in early in 2019.
