Drinks Trade wishes Jenna Hemsworth luck as she prepares to head to Amsterdam to compete in the 11th BACARDÍ LEGACY Global Final.
Hemsworth – who is based at Sydney’s Restaurant Hubert – won the Australian final of BACARDÍ LEGACY in February.
Along with forty-two other bartenders, representing forty-nine countries, she will travel to Amsterdam in May hoping to impress some of the most influential names in the industry.
Guests attending the Grand Final on May 14 at Rode Hoed, located in the heart of Amsterdam’s historic canal district, will be joined by a huge global audience who will tune in live to see the winner announced.
A panel of top talent from the drinks industry, including Julie Reiner, Yael Vengroff, Yao Lu and Ian Burrell, will decide who takes home the coveted trophy.

Amsterdam happens to be the home-town of current BACARDÍ LEGACY champion Eric Van Beek, who is Bar Manager at BarTwentyseven. Eric has enjoyed a huge year since winning, travelling with BACARDÍ to China, USA, UK and Germany to serve his LEGACY cocktail Cariño at some of the world’s finest bars. He will join the judging panel for the Grand Final.

15ml Dom Benedictine
30ml mandarin juice
Peel of one mandarin
20ml lime juice
8 basil leaves
Method: Shake all ingredients hard to properly infuse the peel and release the basil oils. Double strain and garnish with a young basil sprig.
