Leading hospitality training and management platforms, Ananas will offer access to the training platform at no charge again this year as the industry continues to recover from the impact of COVID-19.

The offer is open over the next two months to hospitality workers looking to up-skill or find employment in the industry which is currently facing a massive shortfall of skilled workers.

“Covid has really hit the hospitality industry hard,” says founder Sven Almenning says, “Besides the obvious financial impact, we are now faced with an enormous skills shortage. We hope that Ananas can assist in bridging this gap by providing venue operators with an automated and efficient onboarding and training platform for their teams.”

Industry veteran Sven Almenning, best known for his Speakeasy Group of venues, including Eau de Vie, Boilermaker House, Nick & Nora’s and Mjølner. Almenning also created Diageo’s award winning Alchemy training program, training over 100,000 hospitality staff.

He said: “We genuinely believe Ananas offers the most in-depth training for bar and wait staff anywhere in the world. From fundamental hospitality skills, such as pouring beers or carrying three plates, to more advanced cocktail skills, such as fatwashing and most subjects in-between.

“By making all courses free for the next two months, we hope this will give workers a leg-up in acquiring the skills and knowledge they need to get the right job for them, as well as giving employers a more skilled and educated talent pool to recruit from.”
