Noble Spirits has brought Black Tears, the first spiced Cuban rum on the global market, to Australia.
The brand is all about emotions and was inspired by the Cuban song “Lagrimas Negras”, which tells the story of a young woman who sobbed into a vat of rum, filling it with her sorrow.
Black Tears is a blend of Cuban rum and Cuban spices and is based on a Silver Dry rum.
Black Tears is distilled from molasses and sourced from four mills in the province of Ciego de Avila near Cuba’s northern coast. Its blend is made up of coffee, cacao and ají dulce, a variety of small sweet peppers.
As a result, Black Tears features gentle sweetness of cocoa, accompanying the punch of coffee on the finish, along with the lingering, peppery trace of spice. With an exceptionally low sugar content of 4-9g/L, the result is an elegant and well-balanced spirit.
