The Blend by Chivas whisky experience
Chivas Regal has launched its ‘The Blend by Chivas’ series, a whisky experience that takes attendees through a tasting session and helps them create their very own personal blend.
The event was split into two sessions, the first session consisted of Ben Cusack, head bartender at The Doss House serving up the Chivas Regal XV in a Gold Fashioned, Gold Lustre Sour, and lastly a XV Highball. The XV blend is finished in Cognac barrels, which gives the whisky a sweet vanilla finish that complimented the cocktails to perfection.
A whiskey masterclass followed, filled with droppers, beacons, flasks, and of course whisky, hosted by Chivas Regal Brand Ambassador, Hollie Atkinson.
Atkinson took guests through the full range of whisky tasting notes and helped them create their own signature blend.
She also gave a history on the Chivas brother’s, who gained a reputation in Aberdeen in 1801 for supplying high quality products and giving back to their community, the brother’s innovation and generosity has continued through the years and was evident in the night’s event with attendees enjoying platters filled with amazing cheeses, meats and fruits, then leaving with their whisky blend.
Guests can experience The Blend by Chivas in some of Australia’s top bars across the three cities in November, January and March, including: The Wild Rover, The Doss House, East Village and The Roosevelt in Sydney, The Everleigh, Beneath Driver Lane and The Espy in Melbourne, and finally Cloudland, The Gresham and The Scottish Prince in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
