Diageo to launch Smirnoff Infusions at Splendour

Diageo will launch its Smirnoff Infusions range in style at Splendour In the Grass next month.

The new product will feature at the The Icebergs Dining Room and Bar pop-up at the music festival.

Guests will be greeted with a Smirnoff Infusions – a new premium spirit infused with natural fruit and botanical extracts – welcome drink on arrival .

Smirnoff Infusions has been designed to mix with soda for a naturally fresh, light taste that’s under 40 calories a serve. It launches nationally at the end of August, with Splendour offering an exclusive chance for a first taste.

Following the sell-out success of last year’s pop up dining experience – with Sydney’s Chiswick – still tingling the taste buds, Splendour’s new partnership is with Maurice Terzini and his iconic Bondi Beachside restaurant.

“Finally we have Icebergs at Splendour, something we’ve been gunning for years,” said Splendour Co-Producer Jessica Ducrou.

“I love not only Monty’s beautiful food and Matt and James’ sublime drinks, but Maurice’s vision as he presents the most amazing intersection of incredible dining, shit hot music and cool art to boot. The perfect partner in crime, and such an honour, we look forward to the start of some great collaborations in the years to come.”  

The 100-seat pop-up Icebergs will feature a special Splendour in the Grass menu created by Icebergs’ Executive Chef Monty Koludrovic. Joining Monty will be the well-known and highly regarded team from Three Blue Ducks.

The three-course menu inspired by Maurice’s Italian roots and love for food and culture, will include options such as nodini di mozzarella, a decadent Yarra Valley caviar croquante, grilled pickled octopus, Randall Family Koshi risotto with saffron, crab and celeriac, Koji grilled lamb neck, smoked garlic, sorrel and fermented chilli salmoriglio, twice cooked free range chicken with ginger sauce, a pea, herb and almond salad to pair, and a tableside candied macadamia and chocolate tiramisu to get your mouth watering.  Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.

The Icebergs Bar will also feature curated beverages using ORGANICS by Red Bull soft drinks – a natural beverage that can be consumed on its own or as a mixer accompaniment.

Beer on serve will be from Belgium’s iconic Brewery, Hoegaarden. This original Belgian Witbier (white beer) has a slightly sweet and sour taste, with zesty citrus notes, and has aromas of orange peel, coriander seeds and herbs from Curacao.
