Diageo Australia has partnered with Schweppes to launch a new, above-the- line national campaign.
The new campaign, This Calls For a Cocktail, promotes 40 cocktail recipes and occasions to enjoy them in, with Diageo brands – Smirnoff vodka, Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky, Pimm’s and Tanqueray gin, positioned alongside Schweppes, to convey simplicity when it comes to mixing cocktails.
IT’S GAME ON IN THE CRICKET
The campaign features 27 stand-alone TVCs, also supported by creative and in-store cross-promotional activity. Advertisements promote celebration, depicting a number of different occasions that “call for a cocktail”. In addition, the TVCs provide a quick demonstration of the recipe, communicating the ease of replicating each recipe to consumers.
Both companies are already planning other joint campaigns and events for the future, which will continue to position Diageo’s spirits alongside Schweppes mixers and further push the campaign message.
