Women and Leadership Australia (WLA) is offering development scholarships of up to $5,000 to women working in the Food and Beverage Sector

The professional development funding opportunity is designed to encourage more women to step into leadership roles in the sector.

The programs are designed for women with limited leadership experience through to executive leaders and scholarships are available across three key levels.

  • Early career managers can apply for a scholarship of $1,000 towards the Leading Edge Program See course details here
  • Mid-level managers can apply for a scholarship of $3,000 towards the Executive Ready Program See course details here
  • Senior and executive leaders can apply for a scholarship of $5,000 towards the Advanced Leadership Program See course details here

Karen Gee, General Manager, Business Technology Services Capability at Telstra had this to say about the program:

“The Executive Ready Program is so good, so impactful and so applicable that I am recommending it to our whole business. Eleven staff are confirmed to undertake the program this financial year, and another eleven are on a wait list. The course provides tangible techniques, tools and tips to excel at the leadership role you are in. But the most beneficial aspect of this program is the networking and learning with peers from different industries.

“Regardless of which industry you are in, the types of leadership challenges you are faced with are very similar. By sharing and exploring these with your fellow program participants, you become very connected to the course content and can easily contextualise learnings to your day-to-day activities. The peer coaching is also a big part of how successful this process is. If you are thinking about doing this program, my advice is quite simple – go for it.”

Expressions of Interest for fee interested are invited until the end of September.
